Adirondacks.com launches ambitious partnership with the arts and non-profit groups!

Adirondacks.com has launched a unique and very successful online “Internet Partnership with The Arts” program. Now in its second year, our mission is to harness the unique power of the internet to promote and focus public attention on the many wonderful non-profit organizations and programs which serve not only the 6 million acre Adirondack Park, but all of Upstate New York, Vermont and the Canadian border. Our 5-year goal is to create hundreds of unique “Internet Partnerships” showcasing a wide and diverse variety of organizations and programs ranging from the arts, music and theater to education and health.

Adirondacks.com announced eight more new Partnerships with The Lake Placid Film forum, Pendragon Theatre, Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Architectural Heritage, North Country Public Radio, Historic Saranac Lake, and the Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Centers in Newcomb, NY. Adirondacks.com and the Lake Placid Sinfonietta forge a creative partnership to promote the only professional orchestra in the Adirondack Park. Adirondacks.com also announced a unique online partnership with The Lake Placid Center for the Arts featuring their online exhibit:

“Adirondack Art Chairs :An Exhibition Trail and Auction”

This unique exhibit is designed to benefit the Lake Placid Center for the Arts and promote the arts throughout the North Country.

Adirondacks.com and Saranac Lake Pee Wee Hockey Assoc partner to promote the growth of amateur ice hockey within the region and to provide local youth with the best possible experience. Stevenson Society of America Inc. & Adirondacks.com join forces to help focus public attention on the famous writer Robert Louis Stevenson’s residence and museum displaying the largest collection of personal mementos in America.

Adirondacks.com and Friends of Mt. Pisgah, a not-for-profit community based organization join forces to promote the only community-owned ski area and to encourage the wholesome, healthy and enjoyable use of Mt.

Adirondacks.com creates online partnership with historic Pine Ridge Cemetery to focus public attention on this unique landmark in the village of Saranac Lake.

Adirondacks.com is proud to partner with the Girl Scouts of the North Country. This organization is committed to helping today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders.

In partnership with the Island Community through public education and cooperation. The mission of the AMI Turtle watch to assure a suitable habitat for sea turtles, people, the ecosystem of the island and its surrounding waters. Our goals are to maintain the current sea turtle population and to prevent a potentially irreversible decline in the population through: Increasing the hatchling survival rate by educating the public about the impact of lights, beach debris, habitat destruction, and marine pollution. Reducing disturbances and harassment of nesting sea turtles by public education about the hazards of nighttime beach activities, habitat destruction, and beach lighting. Contributing data to the State of Florida Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvaging Network. Organizing and participating in beach cleanup of firework debris on the 5th of July. Conducting daily nesting surveys from April to November in Anna Maria City, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach. Transporting sick and injured sea turtles to rehabilitation facilities for eventual release back into their natural environment.

The Village of the Arts District is the new jewel in the crown of downtown Bradenton, Florida on Anna Maria Island. Nearly two years ago Bradenton’s Downtown Development Authority sent out a call to artists interested in redeveloping a walk to town community where artists can live, work and sell their wares. The Guild’s mission is “to build a community where artists live and work while enhancing quality of life and creating a harmonious environment.”
